Distinguished Panel Unveiled to Shape School Curriculum Meet the Visionaries

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has launched the ambitious National Syllabus and Teaching Learning Material Committee (NSTC) to revolutionize the educational landscape for Classes 3-12.

Heading this diverse 19-member group is Mahesh Chandra Pant, a revered academician, and Chancellor of the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA). Assisting him is the illustrious mathematician Prof. Manjul Bhargava from Princeton University, known globally for his contributions.

1. Mahesh Chandra Pant

3. Dr Sudha Murthy

Sudha Murthy, a celebrated author and philanthropist, holds the reins as Chairperson of the Infosys Foundation. As the first female engineer at TATA Engineering and Locomotive Company, she shattered ceilings and embodies innovation.

4. Dr Bibek Debroy

Dr Bibek Debroy, a distinguished economist, is renowned for his expertise in economic theory and policy formulation. His translations of ancient Indian texts and exceptional contributions garnered him the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute’s accolades.

5. Dr Shekhar Mande

Dr Shekhar Mande’s illustrious career includes being the Director-General of CSIR and a Distinguished Professor at Savitibai Phule Pune University. His expertise In science governance and leadership is unmatched.

6. Dr Sujatha Ramodarai

Dr Sujatha Ramodarai’s prowess in algebraic theory and arithmetic geometry is commendable. Her leadership in various research agencies and her impactful contributions have garnered awards and recognition.

7. Shankar Mahadevan

Shankar Mahadevan, a revered musician, composer, and vocalist, has left an indelible mark on the Indian music industry.

8. U Vimal Kumar

U Vimal Kumar’s legacy in badminton includes a National title and coaching the next generation of talents at the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy.

9. Professor Michel Danino

Professor Michel Danino’s contributions in history and culture preservation have solidified his reputation as a respected scholar.

10. Suraina Rajan

Suraina Rajan, a distinguished civil servant, has made significant strides in administrative services.

11. Chamu Krishna Shastry

12. Sanjeev Sanyal

13. Dr M D Srinivas
